About the role
The Supplier Engineer II concentrates on all aspects of supplier management, supplier process & material changes. This role provides technical support for all Contract Manufacturing (CM) facilities for TheraSphere. The Supplier Engineering Team is responsible for the technical leadership and resolution of non-conformances and process improvements, in support of business continuity and integration of product and process changes into CM sites under Boston Scientific guidelines.
Your responsibilities will include:
• Collaborate with suppliers to identify areas for improvement and provide guidance and support for process enhancements.
• Investigate and address supplier-related issues, such as non-conformances, quality discrepancies, and delivery delays, in a timely and effective manner.
• Foster open and transparent communication with suppliers to ensure mutual understanding of expectations and objectives. Experience working in process improvement initiatives and six sigma and lean manufacturing tools.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Quality Assurance, Manufacturing and Regulatory to align supplier performance with company goals.
• Participates in large scale projects or leads smaller scale projects under guidance from senior engineering staff.
• Plans, schedules, conducts or coordinates detailed phases of the engineering work in a part of a major project or in a total project of moderate scope.
• Interfaces with suppliers with support cross functional team members to support investigation of supplied material issues or supply constraints.
• Execute NCEP/CAPA investigations to determine and address root cause for process deviations and component modifications.
• Support NCEP/CAPA investigations where defects in supplied materials are identified elsewhere in production.
• Support product complaint investigation where supplied material is a potential root cause. Uses basic statistical tools where appropriate.
Required qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in engineer, preferably biomedical.
• 3+ years of relevant work experience as a Supplier Engineer.
• Proficiency in statistical tools, such as Minitab.
• Proficiency in report writing skills.
Preferred qualifications:
• Experience working under regulated environment per ISO13485 and FDA guidelines.
• Experience working with nuclear medicine and radioactive materials.

Compensation will be commensurate with demonstrable level of experience and training, pertinent education including licensure and certifications, among other relevant business or organizational needs. Compensation for hourly, non-sales roles may also include variable compensation from time to time (e.g., any overtime and shift differential) and annual bonus target (subject to plan eligibility and other requirements).
Compensation for salaried, non-sales roles may also include variable compensation, i.e., annual bonus target and long-term incentives (subject to plan eligibility and other requirements).
Compensation for sales roles is governed by Sales Incentive Compensation Plan (which includes certain annual non-discretionary incentives based on predetermined objectives).
