The Role
We are looking for a visionary leader who will join our team as the VP Product Segment – Partners to drive the responsibilities of Partners, Media & Entertainment. This includes engaging stakeholders to align on clear, actionable product strategy and priorities for these areas to deliver optimal results for customers and Lumen. You will be accountable for consistently identifying opportunities for improvement and incorporating new product features to best meet the needs of customers in the segment. This role is also accountable for crafting the strategy around how to best leverage the Partners area to drive growth, and it requires a deep understanding of industry-specific needs and the ability to cross collaborate internally and with external companies in M&E to co-create innovative solutions and drive Go to Market alignment.

The Main Responsibilities
- Serve total accountability for the success and growth of the Partners, Media & Entertainment segment including owning and driving a strong P&L.
- Utilize a deep understanding of various industry-specific needs and requirements to guide the development of tailored solutions, engaging hyperscalers, ISV and SI partners as needed to develop holistic offerings for studios and broadcasters.
- Drive the growth and positioning of Lumen’s business in the M&E industry at customer facing events like NAB and IBC, focusing on outcomes that strategically solve customer challenges while also demonstrating Lumen’s expertise and capabilities in the broader M&E domain.
- Collaborate closely with the Go-To-Market (GTM) & Marketing Operations function to drive planning, campaigns, and partner materials.
- Lead the team that manages all deal regulations and creates partner-specific materials among other responsibilities.
- Collaborate with product teams, sales, marketing, service delivery, and other key ecosystem partners to develop requirements, prioritize enhancements, and drive best in class product experience for customers.
- Act as the voice of the Partner with Lumen senior leadership like the Chief Revenue Officer, Chief Technology & Product Officer, and other key stakeholders.
- Work closely with SVP Product Segments to keep all key stakeholders aligned.
- Define, monitor, and improve all key product segments metrics including but not limited to adoption, customer net promoter score (NPS), volume of leads, and more.
- Prioritize the product roadmap for the Partner segment in line with market research, customer feedback, and ecosystem partners’ capacity.
- Lead the identification of and capitalization on emerging opportunities within the Partner area, fostering innovation to maintain a competitive edge and drive future revenue growth.
- Collaborate with product teams, AGT, marketing, service delivery, and other key stakeholders to develop requirements, translate into documents, and drive best-in-class product experience for customers.
- Build processes to support Partners as they grow.
- Define metrics to analyze and monitor Partner growth and strategic progress.
- Identify revenue growth opportunities within the segment and communicate potential overlap in opportunities with other segment leaders to drive alignment.
What We Look For in a Candidate
- Ten plus years of leadership or experience in the specific ecosystem and industry
- Proven experience and success in leading strategic solution development and partner engagements within a product organization.
- Strong understanding of industry-specific needs and the ability to translate these into actionable solutions.
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with a history of working effectively with Sales, Alliances, and Partnerships.
- Demonstrated ability to co-create solutions with partners and drive market-leading initiatives.
- Proven track record of launching successful products in the Partner area through a blend of technical, creative, business, and marketing skills.
- Superior communication, leadership, team building, and people management skills.
- Extensive experience in prioritizing objectives and implementing strategies to achieve company initiatives as part of a leadership team.
- Strong background in collaborating with stakeholders to achieve mutual goals.
- Ability to prioritize among competing opportunities, balance customer/Partner needs with business priorities, and clearly articulate the rationale behind decisions.
- Experience as a general manager is a plus
- Bachelor’s degree or in a related field or equivalent years of experience

Compensation
The starting salary for this role differs based on the employee’s primary work location. Employees typically do not start at the top of the range, though compensation depends on each individual’s qualifications.
Location Based Pay Ranges $150,380 – $200,500 in these states: AR ID KY LA ME MS NE SC SD As with the pay range variety that’s based on the region of a country, specific offers are determined by various factors such as experience, education, skills, certifications and other business needs. |
