What Your Day-to-Day Activities Will Be…
L.A. Expert field service, repair, and spare parts are available for all types of turboexpanders.
The company’s operation is vertically integrated with broad engineering expertise and analytical competency, multi-axial CNC machining capability, mechanical assembly, PLC and electrical assembly, complete metal fabrication, and testing facilities that include resonance, balancing, pressure, performance, and mechanical run test.
Position Summary: This position will oversee all aspects of receiving and unloading freight both manually or with equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks; checks for damaged goods; verifies quantity and quality of order; verifies items received with purchase order; wraps, packages, and ships supplies; delivers and retrieves supplies to and from work or storage areas; tags and issues supplies; stocks shelves and rotates inventory.
Job Requirements
Examine incoming and outgoing shipment contents with pick list, pack list, and bill of lading to verify accuracy.
Prepare and verify all items for shipment, determine appropriate shipping container, pack items to ensure protection.
Generate pack list, bill of lading, and labels as necessary for shipment in accordance with customer specifications and/or internal support team.
Contact carriers and couriers to arrange for shipment pickups.
Safely operates forklift and other equipment as necessary.
Maintain loading dock in good order, including all necessary supplies, labels, equipment and materials.
Examine incoming and outgoing shipments, records shortages, rejects damaged items, and corresponds with internal support to rectify shortages and damages.
Unpacks and verifies the condition, count and documentation of items received with the purchase order number.
Assembles wooden or cardboard containers.
Your Education Should Be…
High School diploma or equivalent.
Your Physical Work Environment Will Require…
While performing the duties of this job, the associate is regularly required to stand, walk and balance, use hands and fingers to handle, feel, grasp, push, pull, stoop, kneel, crouch talk, and hear. The individual is frequently required to reach with hands and arms, climb, and perform repetitive motions. The individual may occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus. This position is subject to an uncontrolled manufacturing shop with environmental conditions, which could expose the associate to heat and cold weather, noise, and oils as well as subjected to hazards such as, but not limited to, moving parts and vehicles, heat and chemicals and electrical current and may be required to wear a respirator.
Your Professional Experience Should Be…
Minimum of 4 years of shipping and receiving
Familiar with international/custom shipping and receiving standards is a plus.
Proficient in Microsoft Suite & PC skills.
Knowledge of couriers including UPS WorldShip.
Must have excellent organization, verbal and written communication.
Lift a minimum of 30 pounds.
Must have valid California Driver’s License and acceptable driver record.
