The Role

The Senior Manager Implementation will manage multiple large complex projects and initiatives while directing and leading a team of individual contributors who manage the design, development and implementation of advanced transport engineering projects and initiatives.

Location

This role is Work from Home and can be based anywhere in the United States, however the projects you manager will be focused in the East coast region.

The Main Responsibilities

  • Direct and lead team of individual contributors who manage the design, development and implementation of advanced transport engineering projects and initiatives
  • Manage and assure adherence to budgets, project schedules, work plans and performance requirements
  • Establish, implement, and maintain administrative and technical procedures to ensure projects are completed in an efficient and cost effective manner within allocated budget and accounting guidelines
  • Exercise financial controls within company financial systems, including review/approval of projects, purchase requisitions and oversight of approved contractors
  • Involved in developing and improving Lumen polices in design, planning and development of new advanced data, cloud and voice technologies
  • Manage and drive network transformation.
  • Manage multiple large complex projects and initiatives that require cross-organizational coordination to achieve organizational goals
  • Exercise considerable latitude in decision-making under limited direction towards predetermined goals and targets
  • Effectively communicate with all levels of the organization
  • Facilitate, delegate and lead cross-functional teaming to drive transformational change across multiple disciplines and functional organizations to improve processes, workflows and streamlining of functions
  • Motivate and cultivates employee development through empowerment, driving a “culture of learning”, and actively engaging in employee’s development opportunities
  • Develop and communicate vision to drive improved employee engagement and organizational results

 

Essential Job Functions:

  • Oversee and coordinate technical meetings and design processes to ensure efficient operations and timely delivery of quality service.
  • Offer the team guidance and strategic direction on creating designs and plans aimed at assessing and deploying new services, technologies, and products while adhering to established standards.
  • Help enhance better KPI/OKR measurement tools centered on the overall health of customer orders.
  • Make sure that the customer designs adhere to Lumen guidelines, satisfy the customer’s order specifications, and remain compliant with SOX regulations.
  • Keep up with industry trends and technological advancements.
  • Oversee and evaluate staff by assessing performance, providing training, managing salaries, and conveying department goals.
  • Work with regional and national organizations to support operations and meet set goals.
  • Manage strict adherence to Capital and Operating budgets.

What We Look For in a Candidate

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field, or equivalent training and experience.
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in telecommunications or project management
  • At least 3 years of leadership experience, demonstrating a successful history of implementing cultural shifts, fostering team development, and establishing high benchmarks for achievement.
  • Perform analysis and comparisons of technical information and the ability to prepare written and oral reports to read out the findings.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong problem solving and organization skills.
  • Self-motivated, quick learner and able to manage multiple projects at once.
  • PMP certification preferred
  • Applicable telecommunication or field experience preferred.

Compensation

The starting salary for this role differs based on the employee’s primary work location. Employees typically do not start at the top of the range, though compensation depends on each individual’s qualifications.

Location Based Pay Ranges

$111,480 – $148,630 in these states: AR, ID, KY, LA, ME, MS, NE, SC, and SD.
$117,340 – $156,450 in these states: AZ, AL, FL, GA, IN, IA, KS, MO, MT, NM, ND, OH, OK, PA, TN, UT, VT, WV, WI, and WY.
$123,210 – $164,280 in these states: CO, HI, MI, MN, NV, NH, NC, OR, and RI.
$129,080 – $172,100 in these states: AK, CA, CT, DE, DC, IL, MD, MA, NJ, NY, TX, VA, and WA.

As with the pay range variety that’s based on the region of a country, specific offers are determined by various factors such as experience, education, skills, certifications and other business needs.
