Security Compliance Specialist (AUKUS) – Nuclear Fuel Services, Inc. – Erwin, TN

 

Summary Description of Job:

 

Responsible for oversight and implementation of the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) Security Compliance Program.  Program elements include physical security, security monitoring, access control, and communication systems; security systems testing and maintenance.  The Security Compliance Specialist is responsible for ensuring NFS maintains compliance with all applicable NRC regulations and orders.

 

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

 

  • Responsible for program planning to include analysis and implementation of security upgrades required in response to regulatory changes in site physical protection.
  • Responsible for impact evaluations of new and revised requirements proposed by the NRC, and the preparation and submittal of impact evaluation comments.
  • Manage the testing and maintenance program to ensure all security systems, subsystems, and components are maintained in an operable and effective condition.
  • Evaluate Safety Evaluation Request to establish and implement security requirements for facility and process modifications and provide change management oversight within the Security Department.
  • Develop and maintain NRC approved Physical Security and Contingency Plans as well as site security procedures to ensure strict compliance with all applicable NRC regulations and orders.
  • Primary contact for security regulatory licensing requirements, internal audits, and NRC inspections.
  • Responsible for responding to self-identified deficiencies and NRC notices of violation, and the implementation of effective corrective actions to ensure compliance and prevent recurrence.
  • Responsible for the tracking and trending of reliability and replacement of all security related systems, subsystems, and components.
  • Responsible for developing functional specifications and budgetary cost projections for system upgrades and new system components.
  • Provide technical assistance and work closely with Security Compliance and Access Control Manager and NRC Unit Manager on security related projects.

 

Educational Requirements:

 

  • A.S. or any equivalent combination of education and experience.

 

Experience Requirements of Job

 

  • With A. S. degree twelve (12) years of experience; without A. S. degree fifteen (15) years related experience. 
  • Supervisory or leadership experience in a related field is preferred.

 

 

 

 

 

Pay: $63,000 – $99,000

 

The base salary range for this position in Tennessee (US-TN) at the start of employment is expected to be between $63,000 and $99,000 per year. However, the base salary offered is based on local job market factors, and may vary further depending on factors specific to the selected job candidate, such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations. Subject to these considerations, the total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, such as an annual cash incentive in addition to a full range of medical, retirement, and/or other benefits. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided at such time the selected job candidate receives an offer of employment. If hired, the selected job candidate will be employed ‘at-will,’ unless employed at a location and in a position subject to a collective bargaining agreement.  The company further reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment, compensation or benefit program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, company or individual department/team performance, and other market factors.
