About the role:
This role will be responsible for Cardiology healthcare professionals (HCP) learning strategy design, development, and implementation, working closely with clinical subject matter experts as part of the Digital Professional Education Team. You will apply principles of organizational psychology, adult education, and training assessment to skills training curriculum development to maximize impact, effectiveness, and adoption. You will work as a consultant with seven Cardiology Group franchises on education curriculum design and development projects to define learner criteria, objectives, content outline, formative and summative assessment, and curriculum delivery methods, while also drawing the expertise needed from internal SMEs and HCPs. You will also contribute to the development of effective “train the trainer” strategy for courses, as well as longer term education impact measurement strategy for BSC Cardiology Professional Education programs (looking at accelerators for long term procedural adoption.)
This is an individual contributor role with opportunity to work cross-functionally with all education team members, SMEs, sales training, global stakeholders, regulatory, IT, and legal.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Develops or assists on comprehensive outlines for each project – job task analysis, needs analysis, needs assessment, defining learner criteria, curriculum mapping, skills consensus, skills objectives, evaluation methods, technical assessment, and measure ROE around procedural outcomes.
- Develops plans to create curriculum content and medium – either in-house or with vendor resource.
- Develops skills assessment tools for education programs – that can be used to measure both learner and program effectiveness.
- Responsible for applying proven methodology (Delphi method, expert consensus, etc.) to skills training curriculum development to maximize effectiveness and adoption or assists in collecting/collating this data.
- Works as a consultant on multiple education curriculum development projects to define learner criteria, objectives, content outline, medium, evaluation methods, and criteria.
- Outlines barriers to procedural adoption and develops a plan to mitigate.
- Collaborates with all Professional Education Team members, sales training, clinical SMEs, global stakeholders, regulatory and legal to ensure alignment, collaboration and clear direction.
- Acts with speed, agility, and adaptability.
- Fosters a diverse workplace that enables all team members to contribute to their full potential in pursuit of organizational objectives.
- Keeps abreast of current emerging educational technology and brings best practices to the organization.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree, areas of specialty could include education, instructional systems design, instructional design, training, medical device education, and development.
- 7+ years of relevant experience
- 2+ years of eLearning development
- Familiarity with learning management system capabilities and how they impact eLearning design.
- Working knowledge of Articulate 360/Adobe Creative suite.
- Digital, visual design and video editing experience a plus.
- Large cross-functional project team experience.
- Proven strong organization, execution, and communication skills.
- Proven ability to communicate at all levels of the organization as well as with external customers.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships within project teams.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s degree is preferred in an appropriate area for assessing human individual and team performance.
