Orbital ATK is seeking a Principal Contract Specialist for our Mesa, AZ location.

This position participates in and/or conducts proposal preparation, contract negotiation, contract administration, and customer contact activities to provide for proper contract acquisition and fulfillment in accordance with company policies, legal requirements, and customer specifications.

Relocation may be considered.

Job Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Provide contract management support as directed by Manager of Contracts on assigned programs. This includes basic contract management tasks from proposal/pursuit phase through contract execution and closeout
• Under the supervision of the Manager of Contracts, develop solutions to complex contractual matters to ensure company compliance with contract requirements
• Travel domestically and internationally for negotiation and to provide contract support
• Assist Program Manager in achieving company financial goals for sales, EBIT and cash flow
• Assist Program Manager in communication and meetings with internal and external customers
• Prepare and manage written communications with internal and external customers for assigned contractual matters
• Enter contract data into Deltek CostPoint system

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Related Field required. CPCM certification preferred.
• 8 -10 years of Contract Management experience preferred or related educational training
• International Contracts Management experience, including Middle East, strongly preferred
• Able to travel 25%, with occasional surges up to 50% and for up to two weeks at a time, both domestically and internationally, required
• Middle East in-country experience preferred
• Ability to work in a matrix environment on assigned tasks
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet due dates as assigned by managers
• Experience in international negotiation of direct commercial sales contracts
• Excellent written, verbal, and computer skills with a strong ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers
• Ability to quickly understand and learn contract management and regulatory requirements
• Ability to work independently on assigned tasks after receiving direction from manager
• Security regulations require that the individual must be a U.S. Citizen and must have the ability to obtain a DoD security clearance
