About the role

 

We are now recruiting for an experienced Payroll Specialist to join our ANZ payroll team based in Adelaide. Reporting to the ANZ Payroll Manager, this critical role will oversee end-to-end payroll for our team of waged and salaried employees across multiple sites in ANZ.

 

This 12 month fixed term contract will be based in our Adelaide CBD office, with the option to work from home a few days each week. Ideally you’ll be available to start within 2 weeks notice.

Key responsibilities include:

 

  • Ensuring the Australian payroll is paid accurately and on time.
  • Reviewing month end payroll reporting for ANZ and provide reporting on payroll expense to key stakeholders on a needs be basis.
  • Overseeing year end payroll reporting requirements and audit, including liaison with auditors.
  • Keeping abreast of changes to legislative, award, ATO and EBA provisions and manage implementation of changes to ensure compliance.
  • Reviewing payroll procedures to ensure best practice and to streamline the process.
  • Ensuring the payroll team completes all legislative and regulatory lodgments in the respective regions on a timely basis.

What you’ll bring:

 

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in ANZ Payroll Management
  • Strong problem-solving ability, analytical and numeracy skills
  • Award knowledge: Wine industry Award, Clerks Private Sector Award, Manufacturing Associated Industries and Occupations Award
  • Systems knowledge: Ascender Preceda, Kronos timekeeper, and SAP (highly desirable)
  • Understanding of payroll legislative requirements – Long Service Leave Act (all states)
  • Demonstrate ability to lead a team and mentor staff
  • Proactivity, excellent organisational skills and a passion for wine!
