This job is within the American Airlines Credit Union. The role is responsible for providing administrative and telephone support to the Payment Collection & Recovery department.

What you’ll do

  • Answer telephone calls, e-mails and mail
  • Research, track and resolve member concerns
  • Recover charged off shares and loans
  • Close revoked accounts
  • Update Chexsystems
  • Perform accounting and clerical functions
  • Compile and sort invoices and checks
  • Process invoices for payment
  • Open mail and match payments to invoices
  • Prepare Collection letters
  • Prepare documents for imaging
  • Cross train with other Support Staff for back-up purposes
  • Perform other duties as assigned
  • The selected candidate will be responsible for ensuring the security and confidentiality of all account and related information which is part of their work and for ensuring that his/her work is in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations including, but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act.

Minimum Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience

  • High School Diploma or GED

 

Preferred Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience

  • Previous banking or Credit Union experience
  • Accounting or related experience

 

Skills, Licenses & Certifications

  • Skilled in Mircosoft Office software (e.g. Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint) gained through either work experience with the software or education and hands-on use of the software
  • Ability to demosntrate strong analytical sills to research, analyze and report data with little guidance is essential
  • Ability to effectively comminicate with all leves both verbally and written
  • Ability to demonstrate strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to proficiently handle multiple projects/tasks
  • Abilty to self-motivate and work will independently as well as in a team envrionment with minimal supervision
  • Ability to maintain satisfactory performance and attendance
  • Ability to pass applicable American Airlines and Credit Union pre-hire compliance checks
