We are looking for a Material Services professional to join our growing team in Mount Vernon, Indiana! 

 

Job Qualifications/Requirements:

 

  • Controls Warehouse Activities to include:
    • Receives, verifies, stores, and disburses all tooling, material, supplies, weld wire, drawings and consumables.
    • Expedites delivery by processing necessary paperwork, notifying others when and where materials are to be moved.
    • Handles all outgoing shipments including packaging of materials. 
    • Checks incoming materials for possible damage in shipment, proper identification, quality and quantity. 
    • Closes out purchase orders, maintains tracer files and initiates miscellaneous paperwork essential to completion of job duties.  Moves materials with fork truck and other handling equipment when required. 
    • Performs incidental duties as the job dictates.
    • Acts as back-up for mail pick-up & delivery.
    • Rigs loads and operates overhead cranes for safe movement of material. 
    • Checks crane cables and all types of handling equipment to assure they are in safe working order. 
    • Stores equipment, material and products in orderly manner & records location. 
    • Removes wastes from shops and maintains Hazardous Waste collection area.

 

  • Inputs data into computer to track material, product, supplies, tools and etc. for accountability, inventory, control and environmental reports.
  • Inputs data to maintain a perpetual inventory. 
  • Establishes reorder points and reorders supplies, consumables and maintenance parts.
  • Completes work using print, sketches, process sheets, and written and verbal instructions. 
  • Keeps work area, machinery and equipment clean and orderly. 
  • Detects and reports faulty operations and defective material. 
  • Assists in the process of closing out purchase orders.
  • Maintains tracer files and initiates misc. paperwork essential to the completion of job duties.
  • Reports print errors and/or any errors in written and verbal instructions and etc.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

 

Position Requirements:

 

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Prior demonstrated ability to accurately input data into computer software.
  • Must have good communication skills and the ability to work with several employees at once.
  • Must be able to work second shift. 
  • US citizenship with no dual citizenship.

Pay: $60,020.28 – $60,020.28

 

The base salary range for this position in Indiana (US-IN) at the start of employment is expected to be between $60,020.28 and $60,020.28 per year. However, the base salary offered is based on local job market factors, and may vary further depending on factors specific to the selected job candidate, such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations. Subject to these considerations, the total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, such as an annual cash incentive in addition to a full range of medical, retirement, and/or other benefits. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided at such time the selected job candidate receives an offer of employment. If hired, the selected job candidate will be employed ‘at-will,’ unless employed at a location and in a position subject to a collective bargaining agreement.  The company further reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment, compensation or benefit program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, company or individual department/team performance, and other market factors.
