The Role
As a Manager Solution Architecture, you will lead a regional pre-sales technical team to support sales acquisition and revenue retention for the Lumen Indirect channel as they acquire new customers and increase account penetration into the existing customer base. The team delivers innovative and creative technical design and represents the company’s solutions to customers. You will play an instrumental role in driving the company’s growth and exceeding revenue targets.
Location
The professional in this position ideally resides in the eastern or central time zones. Your accessibility to major airports is beneficial. In this leadership role, candidates can expect to travel to attend industry events, meet with internal leaders and their team as well as key Lumen customers.
The Main Responsibilities
- Builds a high-performance team, hires and retains the right talent in the right roles, sets goals, delegates work, holds reports accountable, and develops and empowers direct reports to make decisions and take action.
- Develops and ensures attainment of new sales and margin growth for strategic accounts which contribute to the company’s bottom line through increasing revenue to meet or exceed company revenue and market share objectives on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
- Coordinates and directs the preparation and presentation of technical proposals to customers and provides leadership and technical guidance to staff and customer technical staff to ensure full understanding of how the company’s services will best meet the customer’s needs.
- Develops and implements long-term strategy with sales management and Indirect channel partners to ensure existing and potential customers are provided with options and enhancements to their existing network.

- Experience in consultative sales techniques and account planning including account profiling, account positioning strategy, customer needs analysis, sales opportunity development, service improvement planning, and long range account management strategies.
- Demonstrated leadership ability.
- Experience at being a strategic member of sales management team who contributes significantly to growth and development of the business.
- Ability to develop and ensure attainment of sales, revenues, and objectives for overall customer segment.
- Able to travel as needed
- Bachelor’s Degree in Related Field or equivalent experience

Compensation
The starting salary for this role differs based on the employee’s primary work location. Employees typically do not start at the top of the range, though compensation depends on each individual’s qualifications. Ranges listed below are only for Base salary and do not reflect other incentives that may be associated with this role.
Location Based Pay Ranges
$115,970 – $193,280 in these states: AR, ID, KY, LA, ME, MS, NE, SC, and SD.
$122,070 – $203,440 in these states: AZ, AL, FL, GA, IN, IA, KS, MO, MT, NM, ND, OH, OK, PA, TN, UT, VT, WV, WI, and WY.
$128,170 – $213,620 in these states: CO, HI, MI, MN, NV, NH, NC, OR, and RI.
$134,280 – $223,790 in these states: AK, CA, CT, DE, DC, IL, MD, MA, NJ, NY, TX, VA, and WA.
As with the pay range variety that’s based on the region of a country, specific offers are determined by various factors such as experience, education, skills, certifications and other business needs.
