The Role

HR Business Partner, emphasizing involvement in various HR functions and importance in fostering a positive work environment and ensuring compliance with labor regulations.

The Main Responsibilities

  • Strategic Planning: Assist in preparing the organization for future challenges by focusing on workforce development, including reskilling, upskilling, and succession planning.
  • Recruitment: Support Japan recruitment process, coordinate interviews, and evaluate candidates.  
  • Onboarding & Off-boarding: Manage the end-to-end process of employee onboarding and off-boarding.
  • Payroll: Assist to ensure accurate payroll processing and serve as a contact point for external partners.
  • Employee Relations: Address and resolve employee grievances and disputes.
  • Insurance: 
    • Assist with the issuance of certificates of enrollment and applications for company or employee changes.
    • Social Insurance: Enroll employees and their dependents in social insurance programs.
    • Workers’ Compensation: Apply for workers’ compensation and submit historical data for relevant employees.
    • Annual Health Check: Coordinate employee health checkups.
  • Learning and Development: Prepare and deliver presentations, including rolling out programs in Japanese when necessary.
  • Corporate Training: Promote awareness and participation in corporate training programs.
  • Employee Events: Manage and arrange ceremonial occasions and events for employees.
  • Background Checks: Respond to background check requests for candidates.
     

What We Look For in a Candidate

  • Proven experience in human resources management.
  • Strong understanding of labor laws and statutory requirements.
  • Proficient in both English and Japanese for effective communication 
  • Ability to handle sensitive information confidentially.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with various departments and external partners.
