This job is a member of the Corporate Security team within the Operations Division. You will collaborate with all departments and take the lead in managing daily tasks and driving key decisions. While you will not have direct reports, you will guide and influence the work of access coordinators, who will have a dotted-line connection to you. This role provides the opportunity to inspire and direct a team toward achieving shared goals. Responsible for performing a wide variety of duties within the badge office, including producing ID’s and providing physical access for team members and contractors.

What you’ll do

  • Support a team of Access Coordinators responsible for printing and distributing identity badges for 130,000 American Airlines Group team members
  • Oversee the daily operations of the Corporate Badging Office (CBO), ensuring smooth execution of objectives, effective prioritization, and acting as the primary point of escalation for any operational issues
  • Motivate and guide the team towards achieving common goals, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment
  • Monitor and ensure that Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) are consistently met or exceeded
  • Manage staff schedules, including adjustments for vacations, sick leave, and other exceptions, ensuring adequate coverage for all necessary roles within the CBO
  • Maintain and manage inventory of essential supplies, such as badge stock, and oversee ordering and supply chain processes
  • Provide comprehensive training for new team members, equipping them with the skills and knowledge to succeed
  • Update and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and other relevant badging and access documentation
  • Conduct quarterly system audits and meticulously document results to ensure compliance and accuracy
  • Drive continuous improvement of processes and procedures to enhance efficiency and effectiveness
     

All you’ll need for success

Minimum Qualifications – Education & Prior Job Experience 

  • High school diploma or 4 years of equivalent experience/training
  • Customer service experience
  • Corporate level badging experience 

Preferred Qualifications – Education & Prior Job Experience  

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Leadership experience 

Skills, Licenses, and Certifications

  • Honeywell ProWatch Certified
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with other team members.
  • Ability to guide a team in a high function environment.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to work under pressure, handle a multitude of tasks, and focus close attention to detail.
  • Ability to type 40 to 50 WPM as this position requires timely and accurate information.
  • Ability to work extra hours to meet operational needs.
  • Ability to provide strong customer service.
  • Ability to protect the integrity of confidential information.
