We are currently looking for an experienced INVESTMENT OPERATIONS OFFICER with a proven track record in managing investment and brokerage operational processes, to join our Wealth Management and Private Banking team. At Popular Bank we are dedicated to enhancing the well-being and wealth of our clients and their families!
In this position you will improve, contribute and service front, middle and back-office investment operations through management of third-party vendors, internal systems platforms and support the Wealth Management Sales and Service teams on a variety of daily operational processes.
In this position, you will:
- Serve as a subject matter expert on a variety of topics including but not limited to Investment Operations, Licensing, Compliance, and Sales
- Provides information to FCs and Licensed Sales Support about various features of specific products / policies
- Manage commissions for Financial Consultants and work with internal finance team and carrier partners to administer commissions and ensure correctness
- Oversee all contracting and licensing for both internal brokerage staff, Financial Consultants, Bankers and LBEs
- Build internal operational processes and collaborate across the organization to ensure operational efficiencies, regulatory compliance, and strong internal controls
- Reviewing reports related to account activity, account onboarding and maintenance, cashiering, transfers, and any other reports generated by the clearing firm or internally that constitute books and record requirements required to manage brokerage activities
- Monitor, create, and implement, operational policies, which support the team, as well as ensuring that staff follow these and other business policies
- Run and analyze performance reports in Envestnet
- Handle incoming client service issues from clients regarding their plan and accounts
To be considered, you will need:
- 3+ years investment industry experience
- Series 7 and Series 66
- Highly detail oriented and procedural, excellent organizational skills with ability to multitask, set priorities and meet deadlines
- Trading experience, ability to process personal securities transactions
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Experience in administrative support or customer service, preferably in the financial services and/or insurance industry
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, both independently and on a team
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Strong critical thinking, financial analysis and problem-solving skills required
- Ability to manage multiple diverse projects and assignments in a timely and quality manner
- Demonstrated ability to maintain effective working relationships with clients
- Willingness to learn
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Familiarity with Microsoft applications and data entry and information retrieval software
- Preferences: Experience with NetX360, Envestnet and Morningstar

Salary Range Information
Our base salary for this position located in New York generally ranges between $80,000.00 and $93,000.00 annually, depending on business need and on your qualifications and experience. Base salary does not include incentive compensation, commission, or any other type of remuneration or benefits.
