Job Description/Duties:

  • Design and create part drawings, assembly drawings, and bills of materials transitioning from design concept to preparation of fully engineered drawing packages.
  • Create shop drawings.
  • Create piping and instrumentation diagram (P&ID) drawings.
  • Create process flow diagram (PFD) drawings.
  • Creates electrical schematic drawings.
  • Consult with A/E firms, vendors and contractors as required to fulfill assignments.
  • Assist engineers with technical designs and assist in resolving technical design issues.
  • Prepares drawing packages and associated documentation in accordance with ASME Y14 and task specific approved standards and procedures.
  • Call out welds, produce weld maps, and weld data sheets in accordance with applicable welding codes.
  • Perform in field measurements and produce as-built drawings (this includes climbing ladders, accessing tight clearance areas, elevated heights, etc.)
  • Ensure technical quality and accuracy of assigned work.

 

Job Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Associate degree in engineering technology or drafting.
  • Minimum of four years’ experience with the following:
  • -Autodesk products such as AutoCAD, Inventor and Revit.
  • -Creating shop, P&ID and electrical schematic drawings.
  • -Determining material and equipment specifications and take offs.
  • -Creating bills of materials and preparing procurement packages.
  • Knowledge of standard drafting policies including product design, fabrication, assembly, tooling, and materials.
  • Knowledge of project engineering activities (scoping, project schedules, estimating, etc.) a plus.
  • Must be a US Citizen. No dual citizenship.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a DOE “L” security clearance. A current clearance is preferred.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain all Naval Reactors required qualifications.

 

 

Pay: $63,000 – $99,000

 

The base salary range for this position in Idaho (US-ID) at the start of employment is expected to be between $63,000 and $99,000 per year. However, the base salary offered is based on local job market factors, and may vary further depending on factors specific to the selected job candidate, such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations. Subject to these considerations, the total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, such as an annual cash incentive in addition to a full range of medical, retirement, and/or other benefits. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided at such time the selected job candidate receives an offer of employment. If hired, the selected job candidate will be employed ‘at-will,’ unless employed at a location and in a position subject to a collective bargaining agreement.  The company further reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment, compensation or benefit program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, company or individual department/team performance, and other market factors.
