Summary

 

Reporting to the Senior Product Owner of digital account management, the successful candidate will manage the development of the customer account management portfolio.  The account management team will drive feature development focused on user access through a single sign-on solution and its related domain, including authentication and authorization, transactions, account and subscription management, settings and preferences. You will serve as the bridge between stakeholders, development teams, and end-users. You will own the product roadmap, prioritize features, and ensure that our platform evolves to meet the needs of customers and aligns with the company’s strategic objectives. This is a high-impact role that requires a mix of strategic thinking, technical understanding, and excellent communication skills.

Other activities include the management and maintenance of all user-centric requirements across multiple brands on mobile web, mobile products, online sites and emerging platforms.  The product owner will work closely with the product, content, design and engineering teams, as well as other stakeholders to drive content and video consumption, working towards the goal of creating an exceptional performance experience across platforms that supports Bell Media’s digital business and brand objectives.

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Build, manage and prioritize the day-to-day backlog of user stories, including acceptance criteria definition
  • Provide vision and direction to the Agile development team and stakeholders throughout the project, requirements creation and alignment 
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business objectives, user needs, and product requirements
  • Collaborate with quality assurance, UX designers and developers to ensure stories meet the definition of done 
  • Preparation and participation in PI Planning contributing to the program vision, roadmap, and PI objectives at the release train level 
  • Facilitate sprint planning, backlog grooming, and other Agile ceremonies
  • Oversee the user acceptance testing process including test plan and test case preparation, and execution

Critical Qualifications

 

  • Bilinguism is mandatory 
  • 3+ years of experience with agile project / product management and ability to be an effective product owner 
  • Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and product development lifecycles.
  • Proven ability to translate business needs into technical requirements.
  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience with tools like Jira, Miro, or similar project management platforms.
  • Ability to work autonomously with full ownership of deliverables and excellent attention to detail
  • Effective planning, prioritising and organisational skills
  • A team player with the confidence to challenge & escalate when necessary
  • Experience working with product management, engineering, and external parties to design and develop technology solutions
  • Proven problem solving ability with complex, technical and abstract concepts
  • Scaled Agile experience is mandatory
  • Media experience is a plus
