This job is within the American Airlines Credit Union. The role is responsible for processing and handling the corporate VISA accounts for the Credit Union.
What you’ll do
- Post foreign payrolls and ensure funds have been received to cover same
- Verify Credit Union posting information against received listing from international AA payroll and make any needed corrections in system
- Review, verify and revise as necessary G/L Accounts associated with business expenses paid by the Corporate VISA card
- Verify and follow up as needed when backup documentation (receipts) associated with expenses paid by the Corporate VISA card is inadequate
- Open and close Corporate VISA accounts as needed
- Increase limits as requested per procedures
- Change addresses and names related to the Corporate VISA card when needed
- Ensure all VISA expense journals are posted to the G/L within system timely
- Handle all calls and emails regarding the Corporate VISA card
- Interact with managers and upper management to approve credit limits
- Answer questions regarding transactions and questionable expenses
- Perform other Accounting duties as assigned
- The selected candidate will be responsible for ensuring the security and confidentiality of all account and related information which is part of their work and for ensuring that his/her work is in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations including, but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act.

Preferred Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience
- College level accounting coursework or Accounting degree
- Previous banking or Credit Union experience
Skills, Licenses & Certifications
- Skilled in Microsoft Office software (e.g., Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint) gained through either work experience with the software or education and hands-on use of the software
- Knowledge in data entry with a high degree of accuracy
- Ability to demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills and exercise effective interpersonal skills
- Understanding of basic financial bookkeeping to be able to post transactional activity from reports
- Ability to demonstrate strong analytical skills with the ability to research and analyze data with little guidance
- Ability to self-motivate with strong organization skills and capacity for attention to detail
- Ability to effectively prioritize work and meet deadlines
- Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision
- Ability to perform in a fast-paced environment, handle multiple tasks and function as an integral part of a team
- Ability to maintain satisfactory performance and attendance
- Ability to pass applicable American Airlines and Credit Union pre-hire compliance checks
