About the Role:
As an essential member of the America’s sourcing team, the Sr. Indirect Sourcing Specialist develops and executes strategic sourcing strategies for professional services along with other operational categories such as R&D, information systems, sales and marketing. This role is responsible for managing end-to-end sourcing activities to identify key suppliers and vendors that align with business goals and optimize cost savings, while ensuring exceptional customer service across the organization. NOTE: This position is hybrid, which will require you to work on-site at least three days a week.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Creating and implementing strategies for sourcing indirect goods and services to align with stakeholder goals, drive cost efficiency and ensure operational effectiveness
- Analyzing spend data to identify cost-saving opportunities and obtain the best value for customers; monitor market trends and conditions to identify potential risks
- Executing end-to-end sourcing events to review requests for proposals or quotes; analyze supplier financials and capabilities to drive supplier selection
- Negotiating contracts and service agreements to secure favorable terms and pricing; review existing contracts and initiate renegotiations for renewals
- Partnering with BSC’s legal team to execute and manage supplier contracts; review and approve terms to ensure alignment with stakeholder goals
- Developing and maintaining relationships with external and internal stakeholders to achieve annual cost savings and value contribution targets
- Managing supplier performance to resolve inquiries and disputes for internal customers
- Educating internal stakeholders on BSC’s sourcing and financial policies to improve processes
Required qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in any discipline
- Minimum 3 yrs of indirect sourcing experience and supplier relationship management
- Experience executing end-to-end sourcing process and contract management
- Proficient with MS Excel and PowerPoint
- Experience with ERP systems (i.e. SAP and Ariba)
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience working in medical device or similarly regulated industry
- Effective decision-making and negotiation skills, ability to influence internal and external teams
- Ability to work independently and collaborate with cross-functional teams to complete projects
- Strong interpersonal skills, with ability to communicate effectively with individuals on all levels
- Strong critical thinking and analytical skills: process and results-oriented
- Detail oriented with strong organizational skills; ability to multi-task and prioritize competing responsibilities effectively
