The Main Responsibilities
- Assist the Lead InfoSec Engineer to develop, implement, and evaluate the System Security Plans to satisfy Certification and Accreditation requirements in accordance with ICD 503 and other government guidelines
- Provide technical support for continuous monitoring activities to include but not limited to performing security scans, coordinating findings with engineering team and Lead Infosec Engineer, maintaining auditing tools, audit reports and reviewing audit logs.
- Conduct periodic reviews to ensure compliance with established policies and procedures ensuring all software, hardware and firmware changes recorded as required by established configuration management procedures
- Ensure systems are operated, maintained and disposed of in accordance with applicable governing policies and procedures
- Install, Maintain, and Secure Windows 2008 R2 & 2016 based Servers with various roles while maintaining security compliance standards
- Domain Controllers, File servers, Print servers, DNS, IIS, Exchange to include clustered Hyper-V core servers
- Configure and maintain file shares, Create and maintain AD and Exchange accounts, Server performance Monitoring
- Plan and implement upgrades from Windows 2008 R2 to Windows 2016, Backup Exec solution
- Monitor & verify backup jobs, Disaster recovery efforts, Distributed File System (DFS), Data Mirroring
- Antivirus – proactive measures for virus and malicious code
- Maintain and secure Windows Based workstations
- Procure and implement new hardware, System Imaging, Create and implement group policies, Security script writing, Vulnerability assessment and mitigation
- Maintain systems in accordance with system security plans, Implement new security requirements as required
- Plan and implement upgrades from Windows 7 to 10, Troubleshoot user issues, Maintain network printers, New software evaluation, Maintain PBX and VM, Firewall & VPN maintenance and Network switch management
- Windows OS, MS Office and other software, hardware issues, profile issues, IP related issues, etc.
- Interface with appropriate government agencies, company management and employees, customers, vendors, and suppliers to ensure understanding of and compliance with security requirements
What We Look For in a Candidate
Minimum Qualifications:
- 5+ years of relevant system administration, user support and security control implementation work experience.
- Undergraduate degree in Computer Science Engineering, related field, or equivalent experience.
- Experience in (or more) of the following areas: Networking, Operating System (MS/Unix/Linux), Security hardening.
- Self-starter with strong self-management skills, with an ability to organize and manage multiple priorities.
- Ability to apply professional judgment in critical thinking and problem solving.
- Team oriented
- Active SCI or TS/SCI with current SSBI Security Clearance is required.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 5+ years of dedicated system administration supporting all levels from tier 1 user desktop support to tier 3 backend server and network support.
- Hands on experience managing Active Directory, Exchange, DNS, File servers, Print servers, Backup systems, Anti Virus systems
- Hands on experience using information security tools such as NESSUS, HBSS, ACAS, SCAP.
- Hardware troubleshooting and repair, evaluate and recommend new products
- Professional/technical certifications or equivalent IT or Information Security related certifications.

Compensation
The starting salary for this role differs based on the employee’s primary work location. Employees typically do not start at the top of the range, though compensation depends on each individual’s qualifications.
Location Based Pay Ranges
$80,510 – $107,340 in these states: AR, ID, KY, LA, ME, MS, NE, SC, and SD.
$84,740 – $112,980 in these states: AZ, AL, FL, GA, IN, IA, KS, MO, MT, NM, ND, OH, OK, PA, TN, UT, VT, WV, WI, and WY.
$88,980 – $118,630 in these states: CO, HI, MI, MN, NV, NH, NC, OR, and RI.
$93,210 – $124,280 in these states: AK, CA, CT, DE, DC, IL, MD, MA, NJ, NY, TX, VA, and WA.
As with the pay range variety that’s based on the region of a country, specific offers are determined by various factors such as experience, education, skills, certifications and other business needs.
