The estimated base salary range for this role is “$70,000 to $85,000” per year.  
Individual pay is based upon location, skills and expertise, experience and other relevant factors

Under the direction of the Maintenance and Engineering Manager, this position is responsible for maintenance planning and daily operations effectiveness.

What you will do

Maintenance Planning:

  • Evaluate requested work and/or perform site inspection to determine technical, manpower and material requirements.
  • Ensure material availability, either by arranging for adequate inventory in the storeroom, or requisitioning for specific projects as required.
  • Assist Maintenance Coordinator with staging/kitting parts prior to work execution.
  • Plan, schedule, and monitor external contractor activities as needed.
  • Interact with production, maintenance, and staff, to coordinate work in alignment with plant and divisional priorities for down day, outage, and routine maintenance work.
  • Assist maintenance supervisor in the development of weekly, down day, and outage maintenance schedules.
  • Coordinate both internal and external equipment spare rebuilds.
  • Monitor preventative maintenance plans to ensure completion compliance.
  • Develop and maintain SAP maintenance plans, bills-of-material, and associated master data.
  • Actively participate in development of plant maintenance budgets.
  • Through interaction with other plant and corporate contacts, maintain and gather knowledge about storeroom and WO planning methods/systems and maintenance best practices. Strive to apply new methods as appropriate.
  • Drive cost improvement in materials, labor efficiencies and spend under the direct of the Maintenance Manager.
  • Assist with maintenance activities when needed.
  • Serve as backup Maintenance Coordinator during vacations or vacancies.

Daily Operations Effectiveness

  • Monitor and communicate PM Compliance Work Order Completion Compliance, and other key metrics.
  • Effectively communicate status of current and upcoming general plant & project work to production and staff groups.
  • Support the timely repair and maintenance of equipment, building, grounds and other facilities through effective planning, purchase, and storeroom processes.
  • Other duties assigned by manager as needed.

 

What will make you successful

  • 3 to 5 years of industrial maintenance experience or equivalent education
  • Experience with maintenance planning and scheduling
  • Experience coordinating maintenance and contractor manpower
  • MRO purchasing experience
  • Project Management experience
  • SAP Proficiency
  • Proficient with MS Excel, Word, and Power Point.
  • Strong Facilitation and communication abilities.
  • Coordination of group and planned meetings.

 

What will make you stand out

  • Experience with SAP work order management processes.
  • Experience with SAP inventory management processes.
  • PDM background a plus
  • Experience with Lean processes. 
  • Experience in problem solving techniques such as 5-why, 8 Step, and DMAIC.

Our Millwood plant in West Virginia is one of fifteen Armstrong plants in North America.
