Responsible for the design, development, modification, debugging and/or maintenance of software systems. Works on specific modules, applications or technologies, and deals with sophisticated assignments during the software development process.
What will your job look like?
- Design, develop, modify, debug and/or maintain software code on cutting-edge web-based technologies according to functional, non-functional and technical design specifications.
- Be accountable for and own specific modules within an application and provide technical support and guidance during solution design for new requirements, problem resolution for critical / complex issues while ensuring code is maintainable, scalable and secure.
- Bring continuous improvements/efficiencies to the software or business processes by utilizing software engineering tools and various innovative techniques and reusing existing solutions. By means of automation, reduces design complexity, reduces time to response, and simplifies the client/end-user experience.
- Investigate issues by reviewing/debugging code and providing fixes (analyze and fix bugs) and workarounds, review changes for operability to maintain existing software solutions, highlight and help mitigate risks from technical aspects.
- Collaborate with the team, participate in peer code reviews, and work with cross-functional teams to achieve goals.
All you need is…
Must-Haves:
- Bachelor’s degree in Science/IT/Computing or equivalent and 7-8 years’ experience as a software engineer
- Professional in PHP object-oriented programing with at least 3-5 years working with Laravel framework
- Experience with relational databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL), NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB) and ORM frameworks (e.g., Eloquent)
- Strong understanding of web development principles, including MVC architecture, RESTful APIs, and SOLID principles
- Knowledge of containerization and orchestration tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)
- Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git)
- Experience with Vue.js or at least one other modern JavaScript framework/library
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written, in English, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams and communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
- Ability to work in a fast-paced dynamic and collaborative multi-cultural environment
Good to Have:
- Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) is a plus
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing frameworks is a plus
- Knowledge of agile development methodologies is a plus
