About this role:
Boston Scientific’s Bariatric and Endoluminal Surgery Territory Manager (BES TM) is a field-based sales role designed to provide clinical, educational, and procedural support for a portfolio of endoscopic products used in procedures related to tissue resection, defect closure and endobariatics.
The BES Territory Manager will be responsible for developing and executing a business plan that is focused on excellent clinical support, accelerating procedural adoption, and selling activities aligned to the division’s strategy and priorities. BES TMs will be aligned to a BES Region Manager and will work collaboratively across a team of Endoscopy Territory Manager’s with the goal of delivering exceptional clinical support and customer experience. BES TMs must exhibit strong clinical acumen, and a relentless desire to stay current on new products, programs, and competitive knowledge. Candidates should have experience working in fast-paced and intense work environments and enjoy complexity and problem solving daily.
BES Territory Managers will primarily work with Surgeons and Gastroenterologists, and support staff including Nurses, Technicians, and Materials Management. This is the North Central BES territory, and it includes Eau Claire, WI to Bismark, ND (MN, ND, Western Wisconsin).
Your responsibilities will include:
- Exceed quarterly and annual revenue targets thru strategic sales activities
- Build strong customer relationships through frequent visits, product demonstrations, educational programs, product in-services, procedural observation, and problem resolution. Relationships will be established with Physicians, Nurses, Technicians, Materials Management, Hospital Administration, and Infection Control.
- Procedural support in an intense OR / GI Lab unit environment daily.
- Working seamlessly with Territory Manager(s), Region Manager, and Cross-Channel colleagues
- Providing timely updates to the Region Manager on ongoing business activities, competitive conditions, industry trends, etc.
- Managing expense budget and promotional budget within guidelines.
- Maintaining accurate records of sales expenses, customer files, and field sales reports is required.
- Submitting any required administrative paperwork in a timely manner.
- Conducting all sales activities according to Travel & Entertainment (T&E) guidelines, Advised Policies, and Integrity Policies.
- Occasional weekend and evening trade show and/or meeting participation, committed weekly travel up to 50%
- Understand and comply with all regulations governing our work and comply 100% of the time with all BSC corporate policy and procedure initiatives.
Minimum Qualifications:
- 3-5 years relevant business experience, at least 3 years direct sales experience
- Bachelor’s degree
- Documented sales success – top 10% performance in critical competencies
- Demonstrated oral and written communication skills.
- Industry experience preferred.
