Job Summary

We are seeking a Custodian I- 1st Shift for our Safety Assessment site located in Ashland, OH.

 

Responsible for cleaning of all administrative offices, laboratory, bathrooms, conference rooms and animal module hallways.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Remove trash, dust and provide general cleaning of all areas.
  • Vacuum all carpeted areas as required.
  • Clean, strip and wax all linoleum and tiled floor areas as required.
  • Clean and re-supply all bathrooms as required.
  • Clean all light fixtures, glass areas and furniture as required.
  • Clean all animal module hallways as required.
  • Perform all other related duties as assigned.

 

Pay rate for this role is $18.00 per hour. Please note that salaries vary within the range based on factors including, but not limited to, experience, skills, education, certifications, and location.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Education:  High school diploma or General Education Degree (G.E.D.) desired. 
  • Experience:  1-year related experience in custodial or cleaning.
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted as a satisfactory substitute for the specific education and experience listed above.
  • Certification/Licensure: Driver’s license
  • Other: None

 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Employees must be able to lift, move, manipulate, and/or hold heavy objects up and to including 50 pounds; this includes work materials, equipment, and supplies.
  • Must be able to wear safety equipment (PPE) according to OSHA regulations and company standards.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include, close vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
  • Frequently stoop, kneel, or crouch.
  • Walks or stands for up to 90% of the workday.

 

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly wears protective clothing (scrubs, lab coats, safety glasses, and gloves).
  • Occasionally is exposed to unpleasant odors.
