- Base Salary Range for PLANT BUYER $60k – $75k
- Profit Sharing based on profitability of the company.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintain operations tooling and parts inventory by applying good inventory and purchasing management practices.
- Develop and monitor relationships with suppliers and oversee internal supply chain development.
- Manage suppliers properly by respecting corporate agreements.
- As a procurement expert, optimize availability of the right parts to maintain operations.
- Monitor inventory-related performance indicators.
- Guarantee the reliability and completeness of financial transactions.
- Ensure compliance with the standards, legislation and regulations in force for products and services.
- Propose improvements to current processes.
- Create and maintain material master records (at MRP parameter level).
- Create purchase orders that are not tendered by Shared Services.
- Ensure the creation and validation of requisitions for their unit’s needs based on MRP parameters.
- Act as liaison between the plant, the organization and the suppliers while ensuring that follow up and escalations are made accordingly.
- Manage supply orders.
- Identify opportunities to improve existing processes and systems’ efficiency thereby maximizing operations performance potential.
- Create and maintain the purchasing info record and the list of sources (out of scope).
- Delegate all purchases over $15,000 to the COE.
- Manage the document management system (DMS).

RELEVANT EXPERIENCE & STRENGTHS
- Strong planning, organization and inventory management skills.
- Knowledge of industrial environments (an asset).
- Supplier management skills
- Judgment needed to ensure follow-up and effective implementation of solutions in accordance with priorities.
- High level of autonomy.
- Commitment to business partner satisfaction and ability to collaborate with existing teams.
- Ability to act and react quickly while working on a number of files at the same time.
- Ability to plan, organize and prioritize activities effectively.
- High level of integrity to support and advise business partners.
REQUIREMENTS
- 2 to 5 years of relevant experience in a manufacturing environment.
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience with maintenance planning & Computerized Maintenance Management Software. (SAP preferred)
